*A Scenic Arrival* your journey starts with a short drive off the main road to our riverside Carpentry Workshop. As you leave the busy road behind, you will arrive at Woody Land Artisans. This is a place where traditional craftsmanship meets the calm of the riverside.

From Observer to Creator: Roll up your sleeves and step into our workshop. This experience invites you to trade your camera for a hammer and paintbrush. Our master carpenters will demonstrate the time-honored methods of Sri Lankan woodwork before handing the tools to you. Under their expert guidance, you will learn Traditional Carpentry, to cut, fix, plan, and paint, & wood craft techniques. You won’t just learn about the craft; you will practice the art of making and finishing your own wooden souvenir.

Beyond the Carpentry workbench: You will enjoy the Woody Land Artisans' refreshing snack while exploring some of our thriving Sri Lankan owned Trees, fruits, Vegetables and some herbal plants that surround our workshop in the village life cycle.

The Scenic Maha Oya River: Our workshop is situated at a stunning point near the Maha Oya, one of Sri Lanka’s most significant waterways. Stretching 134km through the heart of the country, this river is a lifeline for over a million people and a haven for rich biodiversity.

Relax and Recharge: Take in the views of the vibrant, flowing water. Whether you want to enjoy a peaceful fishing experience or capture the perfect nature photograph, the riverbank is the ideal place to find tranquility.

1. Booking & Confirmation

Instant Confirmation: Your booking is confirmed immediately upon successful payment.
Last-Minute Bookings: We welcome bookings up to 12 hours before the experience begins.
Same-Day Inquiries: For same-day bookings, please contact us directly to verify workshop and meal availability.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Standard Cancellation: Receive a full (100%) refund if you cancel at least 24 hours before the experience starts.
Late Cancellation & No-Shows: No refunds are provided for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start time or for "no-shows," as materials and refreshments have already been prepared.
Weather Policy: The workshop area is undercover and operates in most weather conditions. In the event of extreme weather that renders the riverside or garden unsafe, we will offer a rescheduled time or a partial refund.

3. Safety & Guest Conduct

Tool Safety: Guests will use traditional carpentry tools (hammers, saws, etc.) under the guidance of master carpenters. By booking, you agree to follow all safety protocols; Woody Land Artisans is not liable for minor injuries resulting from tool misuse.
Supervision: Children must be supervised by an adult at all times, particularly near the Maha Oya River and while using workshop equipment.
Physical Requirements: This experience includes a walk through garden and farm terrain. Guests should have moderate physical fitness and be comfortable walking on uneven ground.

4. Dietary Requirements

Notification: Please notify us of any severe food allergies or specific dietary needs (e.g., Vegan, Gluten-Free) at least 24 hours in advance.
Allergen Note: While we take precautions, we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen-free environment.

5. Photography & Media

Personal Use: Guests are encouraged to take photos and videos of their experience.
Consent: If staff members take photos for social media, we will seek your verbal consent first.
