Woodcraft & Heritage: Hands-on Carpentry Workshop in Sri Lanka

Your journey begins with a scenic ride from the main road, leading you deep into our riverside sanctuary. Step into the world of traditional Sri Lankan craftsmanship at Woody Land Artisans. This immersive workshop invites you to trade your camera for a hammer and paintbrush. Guided by our master carpenters, you will learn the art of fixing, cutting, and painting your own wooden souvenir, and learn basic carpentry techniques and tools.

Under expert guidance, you’ll transition from observer to creator. You will learn to cut, fix, and paint your very own wooden souvenir, ensuring you leave with more than just a memory—you’ll take home a piece of Sri Lankan heritage crafted by your own hands.

Riverside Lookout: Located in a lush green sorrounding A Giant Swings, experience the wilder side of our carpentry destination. Walk through our vegetable and fruit gardens and feel the rush on our giant river-view swing—perfect for photos—and enjoy a peaceful nature & river lookout through the local waterways.

Terms & Conditions

1. Booking & Confirmation

Instant Confirmation: Bookings are confirmed immediately upon payment.
Last-Minute Bookings: We accept bookings up to 12 hours before the start time. For same-day inquiries, please contact us directly to check meal availability.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Full Refund: Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the experience start time will receive a 100% refund.
No Refund: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start time, or "no-shows," are non-refundable as materials and food preparations have already been finalized.
Weather Policy: Our workshop is undercover; however, in cases of extreme weather that make the riverside swing or farm walk unsafe, we may offer a rescheduled time or a partial refund.

3. Safety & Conduct

Workshop Safety: Guests will be handling carpentry tools (hammers, saws, etc.). Our master carpenters will provide safety instructions. By booking, guests agree to follow all safety protocols. Woody Land Artisans is not liable for minor injuries resulting from the misuse of tools.
Children: Children must be supervised by an adult at all times, especially near the river, the giant swing, and while using workshop tools.
Physical Activity: This experience involves walking through a farm and garden. Guests should have a moderate level of physical fitness and be comfortable on uneven garden terrain.

4. Dietary Requirements

Guests are responsible for notifying us of any severe food allergies or specific dietary restrictions (Vegan, Gluten-Free, etc.) at least 24 hours in advance. While we take every precaution, we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen-free environment.

5. Intellectual Property & Photos

We love it when you share your experience! Feel free to take photos and videos. If our staff takes photos of you for our social media, we will always ask for your verbal consent first.
